The main event will feature LFA lightweight champion Richie “El Machete” Miranda (11-1) making his first title defense against undefeated Israeli standout Ilay “The Hype is Real” Barzilay (7-0).
“We are thrilled to bring the LFA to Ventura for the first time, and also highlight event the Throw Down Cornhole festival.” stated Ed Soares. “This unique festival is a perfect opportunity to showcase our rising talent in a completely new and exciting market. Miranda captured the vacant lightweight title at LFA 207, where he stopped former NCAA wrestling standout Richie Lewis via fifth-round TKO in a grueling and high-paced battle. Representing California, “El Machete” now returns to home soil to defend his title for the first time, bringing a reputation for relentless pressure, sharp boxing, and elite conditioning.
Barzilay, nicknamed “The Hype is Real”, enters the bout unbeaten in seven professional contests. One of the most promising international prospects in MMA today, he blends dynamic striking with strong cage IQ and finishing instincts. Now, the Israeli contender aims to make history by becoming the first fighter from his country to win an LFA world championship.
The evening’s Co-Main Event features a 2nd World Title Bout with an international matchup of standout Flyweights.
Eduardo Henrique “Chapolin” unified the LFA Flyweight titles last Summer, where he dismantled LFA Interim Champion, Igor Siqueira, in less than 90 seconds of the very 1st round. That impressive victory earned him a place on the 20th anniversary season of The Ultimate Fighter where he was the first overall pick of team coach Daniel Cormier. Chapolin would fall short in the competition but now returns refocused and eager to defend his belt. A resident of Ventura, CA he looks to give the hometown fans another sensational performance in defense of his title.
Canada’s top Flyweight prospect, Devon Lozej, gets his first shot at championship gold. Lozej is riding a 5 fight win streak going into the title bout. This includes a career defining TKO in his last outing at LFA 200. The impressive finish earned him the shot at the current Champion
