Background

Adam Soldaev will step into the round cage for the sixth time. He last fought in January, when he faced Daniel Tărchila. The men put on an incredible fight, which was mostly fought on the feet. Both landed good shots, both landed great moves, and both also competed well on the ground and in the clinch. Ultimately, the fight went to the final bell, and Adam Soldaev emerged victorious.

Immediately after the fight, Soldaev said:

"The fight was tough, but I wanted it to be even tougher." The plan was to knock him out and then say I'm the hardest puncher in this division. I didn't manage to show that today, but that's my opinion, and I'll continue to believe it until I retire.

Soldaev has five knockout wins under his belt. In KSW, he dispatched Damian Stasiak and Pascal Hintzen. Both finishes earned bonuses for best knockout of the night. In total, the WCA Fight Team representative has eleven professional fights under his belt, nine of which he's won, and today he's on the heels of two straight victories.

Adam Soldaev doesn't hide his championship ambitions. He's announced his rise to the top of the lightweight division and wants to finish the fight with Brichta early.

Leo Brichta will be fighting his fifth fight in KSW. He last competed in a round cage in February of this year, against Łukasz Charzewski. The Czech opened the fight with spectacular kicks. He applied pressure, kept his opponent at bay, and continued his kickboxing attacks. Charzewski went for his opponent's legs and attempted a takedown, but Brichta defended. On his next attempt, the Pole secured a takedown, but Brichta quickly got back to his feet and landed a knee on Charzewski, sending him to the mat. Leo attacked with punches on the ground, and the fight was stopped moments later.

Immediately after the fight, Brichta briefly commented on his victory.

"The plan for the fight was to go all out and enjoy this fight."

For the Czech, his last fight was a weight class change. He had previously competed at lightweight, where he was fighting for an interim title. However, he was forced to concede the superiority of Valeriu Mircea. This loss ended Brichta's fantastic nine-fight unbeaten streak, which he has been competing in professional cages since 2017.

Now, the Czech will try his hand at featherweight again. Initially, he was scheduled to face Patryk Kaczmarczyk for the Olsztyn event, but Kaczmarczyk had to withdraw due to injury. Adam Soldaev replaced him, and Brichta makes no secret of the fact that he believes he's the stronger opponent.

To date, Brochta has fought nineteen fights, winning thirteen and finishing eleven by knockout. The kickboxing fighter has seven knockout victories and four submissions. He has eight wins in the first round. He earned two fight bonuses in KSW.

This clash at the top of the featherweight division promises to be an incredible, thrilling spectacle. Which fighter will emerge victorious and move closer to a title shot? We'll find out on July 19th at XTB KSW 108 in Olsztyn.
